Hello My Tasty-Human Friends. I’m MrBedBug, Chief SpokesBug for FLfresh.com and EcoBugFREE, the BedBug Eliminator. I am a TV star on MrBedBug-TV on YouTube and Editor of the BedBug News Reports.com
I was recently sent a link to a major manufacturer’s web site, where a writer ask a question [below], since the BedBugs didn’t DIE and the 1-800-talk-in-circles customer service rep offered no real help, [except to buy more product], They contacted me, seeking real help.
Here’s the original web posting on [famous brand name you know] web site.
I bought the [brand-name] bed bug and flea spray and completely sprayed my couches with this stuff. After a few hours they seem to be coming out in full force, are moving very fast and don’t seem to be dying. I managed to drown 3 of them in a container with this spray, but the ones on my couch just seem very hyped up like it just made them mad.
Did I do something wrong or does it take longer than 5 hours for them to die?

The written response [before the call to 1-800-talk-in-circles was:
We do recommend waiting a day or so to evaluate the final results of a treatment. Please call us at 1-800-talk-in-circles, if you’re not seeing fewer Bed Bugs at that point and we’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot. Good Bye.
When I got this email, I had to call “Phoenix” because she included more info in the e-mail to me than appears of the web site, but info she shared with the [major-name-brand] company rep.
Here’s why I [*the Famous Mr BedBug] “knows” the product is ineffective, against Bedbugs. Without even reading the product contents label, Lets start with the fact that Fleas and BedBugs are entomologically different. “Bugs” are not all the same. Is there a product you could buy to kill both an Orka whale and a zebra? That’s a stupid example, but BedBugs are different than other “crawlie-things”. They have evolved to become more and more immune to the ever-more toxic chemicals used by LICENSED [please only hire state-licensed] Pest control operators. Professional PCOs have chemicals that are NOT available over-the-retail-counter. If a LICENSED pest control operator has a tough job killing Bedbugs, do you REALLY think a can of $19.99 “spray&pray” bug-juice will be effective?
Ants, roaches and fleas are STUPID, as I often say. They will happily walk thru a soup of poison and carry it back to the nest, killing others along the way. One of the big advertisers promote this as a benefit of their brand of bug-spray. Yes, that plan works for “stupid” bugs with simple nervous systems. BedBugs are NOT stupid. They smell poison and avoid it. BedBugs can hide in a “nest” [technically called a -harborage-] and wait-out your poison, for up to a year !!! Even professional entomologist debate HOW long BedBugs can last [between all-you-can-eat-buffet feedings of a tasty-human], but in the controlled environment of a lab, it’s about a year. I(*the famous MrBedBug) think it’s about 4-5 months in a real-world residential home/apartment.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW-
There is NO retail over-the-counter “bug-spray” available in the big-box stores that will be worth your time. ANY product that says it “Kills xyz AND BEDBUGS” is slipping past the weak US government EPA rules for product labeling. A product that kills a minimum number of BedBugs IN A CONTROLLED LAB, is not going to be the most effective way to clean a BedBug infestation in your home.
If you want to kill the BedBugs in your life, with a minimum of toxic chemicals in your living space, you’ll need to do the work. EcoBugFREE, the BedBug Eliminator, is a kid-safe+pet-friendly product. It will effectively Kill BedBugs, after 8-20 seconds of contact, but it is NOT a miracle product. You’ll still need to do the “work”. You must kill all the exist BedBugs where they hide and travel-paths, PLUS kill all the eggs, or the cycle repeats in a few days. It’s NOT what you want to hear, but there are NO simple or easy ways to get rid of a Bedbug infestation. You’ll need to go on a search/destroy mission, cleaning methodically the way we describe, elsewhere in this web site.
